| About Plamen Plamen Dimitrov was born in the Bulgarian town of Rousse in 1972. He started playing the accordion at the age of 6, and at the age of 16 he was already playing at Bulgarian weddings and in the folk "Naiden Kirov" Ensemble in Rousse. Plamen has graduated the Music Academy in Plovid Bulgaria, and has won the following accordion performance prizes: First Prize in National Accordion Competition, Chirpan - 1989, 1990, 1993 Furst Prize in Folk music performance Competition, Stambolovo - 1994, 1995 (with Zlatna Arfa Orchestra) From the 1989s Plamen is leader of Plam Orchestra. As a versatile musician, Plamen ahs had a number of concert performances including solo, duo, trio and in larger orchestras. His repertoire covers traditional and contemporary Bulgarian and Balkan folk music, as well as variety music and folk jazz.
